Skylark Metal Art is a blacksmith and metal arts business that specializes in building handcrafted sculptural pieces. From imagined creatures, to functional fixtures; from unique inspirations to specific commissions. Metal comes to life with Skylark Metal Art.

Through our metalwork, we seek to push the boundaries of what is conventionally considered beautiful, and to create pieces that provoke a sense of playfulness and curiosity. Our unique and intricate designs are sure to add a touch of whimsy to any environment.

Skylark Metal Art is operated by Willow Enewold.  Willow's upbringing in a family of “makers” has undoubtedly shaped her creative perspective; she draws inspiration from a diverse range of sources. Her irreverent and often humorous approach to art seeks out humor in even the most serious of subjects; she seeks to subvert expectations and invite viewers to engage with her work in a more lighthearted manner. 

Willow has a strong belief in individual agency and the importance of creating for oneself rather than for external validation; her work is not concerned with pleasing others or conforming to preconceived notions of what art should be. Rather, she creates what speaks to her, and trusts that others will find value in it as well. 

As a “recovering accountant”, Willow is acutely aware of the tendency of society to prioritize practicality over creativity, and she sees her work as a way of rebelling against this narrow-mindedness. Through her art, she seeks to carve out a space for imagination and experimentation, for exploring the boundaries of what is possible and breaking free from the constraints of the status quo. In doing so, she hopes to inspire others to embrace their own creativity, to question the rules and assumptions that shape our world, and to find joy and beauty in unexpected places.
